Girls balaclava – a subtle Bow model for autumn and spring

Girls balaclava with a small bow-shaped detail formed from the balaclava fabric is designed for those who want something more than a completely plain hat, but do not like large ears, pompoms or other bold decorations. I created the bow as a subtle detail so the model feels feminine while remaining practical for everyday wear.

This model is double-layered, without extra insulation, so I recommend it for autumn and spring – when a thin single-layer hat starts to feel too light, but a thick winter balaclava is not yet needed.

When creating balaclavas, I always pay attention not only to how they look, but first of all to how they fit on a child’s head. The Bow balaclava fits closely around the face, keeps the ears covered and has an extended neck section that stays under a jacket or snowsuit.

Because of the longer neck section, an extra scarf is usually not needed, there are fewer layers around the neck, and the child can move and play more comfortably.

When to choose this girls balaclava?

I recommend this double-layered model at approximately 0°C to +16°C. This is only a guide, because children are different – some warm up quickly while others prefer a warmer hat.

On warmer days, you can switch to our thin cotton beanies for kids. For colder winter weather, I recommend choosing one of our winter balaclavas for kids.

How to choose the size?

I recommend choosing the size by your child’s actual head circumference rather than age alone. Measure around the widest part of the head – across the forehead, above the ears and around the back of the head.
