What makes this neck warmer different?

When developing this design, my priority was a neck warmer that is warm and genuinely comfortable for everyday wear.

Many neck warmers are made in just one universal size. That may work for adults, but for children they can be too wide and loose, leaving a large gap between the fabric and the neck.

That is why I make my neck warmers in five sizes, suited to different head circumferences. This allows the design to stay narrower and closer to the neck while remaining comfortable for children and adults alike.

One of the biggest advantages of this winter neck warmer is its extremely soft, stretchy knitted fabric. Although it fits close to the neck, it slips easily over the head. Children can put it on and take it off comfortably, and once worn it gently wraps around the neck without gaping.

I recommend wearing it at approximately 0°C to −10°C (32°F to 14°F). This is only a guide: comfort also depends on wind, humidity and personal sensitivity to cold.

It is comfortable under outerwear, does not restrict movement and is easy for children to put on and remove themselves.

How to choose the right neck warmer size

Because these neck warmers are made from soft, stretchy fabric, the sizes are not fitted to every individual centimetre of head circumference as precisely as hats. Each size suits a wider range, so you can use both head circumference and approximate age as a guide.

Measure around the widest part of the head, across the forehead, above the ears and around the back of the head.

• Hand wash, or use the hand-wash cycle on your washing machine.
